Eligibility & Acceptance

UK’s National Junior Miss finalists must be aged 12-15 years on June 1st the year of the competition. (finalists may be 11 years of age provided that they reach their 12th birthday prior to June 1st the year of the competition.

UK’s National Teen finalists must be aged 16-19 years on June 1st the year of the competition.

UK’s National Miss finalists must be aged 20-29 years on June 1st the year of the competition.

UK’s National Ms finalists must be aged 30-44 years on June 1st the year of the competition.

UK’s National Classic Ms finalists must be aged 45+ on June 1st the year of the competition.

UK’s National Miss, Ms & Classic Ms finalists may be single, married, divorced or have children.

 

UK’s National Miss Pageant finalists and winners are not permitted to have or promote cosmetic fillers or procedures in any way during their reign. If a winner does undergo cosmetic procedures, surgical or non-surgical, she will be disqualified. Delegate shall be a British citizen or reside in the United Kingdom.

Contestant shall be a citizen of Great Britain or Northern Ireland, or reside in Great Britain or Northern Ireland. Great Britain comprises of England, Wales and Scotland.

All contestants under 18 years must be accompanied at all events by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian will bear their own costs for all expenses including travel and accommodation.

 

Returning Contestants

Former winners of the UK’s National Miss Pageant are not eligible to compete again for the same title. Former entrants and finalists are eligible to compete again for the titles of UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms & UK’s National Classic Ms.

 

Official Language

English is the official language of the UK’s National Miss contests. It is a requirement for contestants to speak English.

 

Gender

Entrants’ legal gender must be female.

 

Code of Conduct

Contestant shall be a person whose background is not likely to bring in to disrepute the UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms & UK’s National Classic Ms. titles or the Licensee or the Promoter or any person associated with them. Entrant affirms that she is and will continue to be a person of good moral character; that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavourably on the competition, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees; that she has not appeared in, or posed for, any nude or provocative photographs prior to, during the preliminary or contest finals, or during her reign should she become a grand finalist or UK’s National Miss Pageant titleholder.

Contestant will conduct herself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the UK’s National Miss Pageant and while representing the UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms or UK’s National Classic Ms. title.

Contestant will not slander or libel other contestants, judges, UK’s National Miss Pageant staff or anyone else involved with or connected to the UK’s National Miss contest. Defamatory verbal and/or written remarks against the UK’s National Miss Pageant will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any and all prizes and awards won, and legal charges.

Any Contestant found publicly posting slanderous remarks on public forums will be immediately disqualified.

Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behaviour before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification, removal from the premises, and legal charges.

 

UK’s National Miss Pageant Entrants agrees:

  1. a) If selected as a UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms or UK’s National Classic Ms winner, contestant agrees make a minimum of 15 appearances throughout her year’s reign as approved by the director of the UK’s National Miss Pageant. Appearances may include but are not limited to parades; radio, television and newspaper interviews; and public appearances at events. Winners are expected to provide the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant with photos of appearances for the UK’s National Miss website and promotion.
  2. b) If selected as a winner of the UK’s National Miss Pageant, they will not enter or compete in any other regional, national or international pageant or beauty contest during her reign. Winners are expected to give their time and energy to this title and this title only during their year’s reign. Permission for the UK’s National Miss Pageant titleholders to participate in other beauty competitions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  3. c) If selected as a winner of UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms or UK’s National Classic Ms, contestant agrees that a contract will be signed pertaining to the code of conduct, appearances and work, including modelling, television and film, that the winners undertake during their reign on behalf of the UK’s National Miss Pageant.
  4. d) To look solely to the UK’s National Miss Pageant director with respect to all matters relating to her application, rules, regulations, policies, preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process, and all other matters relating to the preliminary contests and finals.
  5. e) That the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant– officers, employees, and pageant personnel are not responsible for accidents, injury or theft incurred at the time of the UK’s National Miss Pageant preliminary or final or travel to and from.
  6. f) That the UK’s National Miss Pageant director & employees are not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of the competition sponsors, judges, or contract vendors (e.g., photographer, videographer, etc.) who may be providing products or services to contestants and winners at the UK’s National Miss Pageant preliminary and final.
  7. g) That the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant are not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of the host hotel.
  8. h) That the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to any and all prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon entrant after these items become the property of entrant. Entrant agrees to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown/tiara, sash, plaques, trophies, etc.
  9. i) That prizes given by the UK’s National Miss Pageant sponsors to prize winners are not the responsibility of the UK’s National Miss Pageant director & employees and the UK’s National Miss Pageant cannot be held liable for any sponsor not fulfilling their prizes to winners.
  10. j) That entrants under 18 years agrees that they be accompanied at all times during the preliminary and finals by a parent or legal guardian and they are the sole responsibility of the parent/legal guardian. They are not the responsibility of the UK’s National Miss Pageant organisers.
  11. k) That the date/venue of the UK’s National Miss Pageant is subject to change and in such a case, the entrant is not eligible for a refund.
  12. l) The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into or feedback given regarding the selection of semi-finalists, grand finalists or winners.

 

Deadlines

All deadlines for photographs, and contestant information are strictly enforced and must be adhered to by entrant.

 

Entry Fee & Payments

Finalists – If contestant is selected as a finalist then the contestant’s sash will be ordered and contestant’s titles made official after payment has been received in full by the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant. If full payment is not received by the end of a 4 week period, as of date of notification, the title will be awarded to another contestant.

 

Refund Policy

All fees paid for and to the UK’s National Miss Pageant are not refundable and not transferable in full or in part for under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, contest admission ticket sales fees, guest meal fees and any other fees paid to the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant by anyone including, but not limited to, contestants, sponsors, and advertisers.

 

Payments

All payments made to Pageant Girl Ltd are subject to a £1 handling fee.

 

Photography & Videography – Minors

Adults accompanying contestants, who are under 18 years of age as of the competition date, authorise the right for Photography & Videography for the UK’s National Miss Pageant.  This includes Internet, websites, printed publications, all events leading to, and including, the UK’s National Miss Pageant.

 

Disqualification / Title Relinquishment

If contestant is disqualified or relinquishes, for any reason, any title awarded to her, all prizes must be returned in full, and in condition received.

 

Travel

Contestants make their own travel arrangements. The organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant are not responsible for arranging travel or intervening / resolving disputes involving travel to the competition.

 

Hotel

Contestants are required to stay at the host hotel (unless contestant lives close enough to drive from home to contest events each day). Contestants and their families must make their own hotel reservations.

 

Publicity and Promotion

By virtue of participation in the UK’s National Miss Pageant, contestant agrees to allow the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant the right to use her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future. Contestant understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the UK’s National Miss Pageant (e.g., t-shirts, tote bags, hats, other apparel, mouse pads, and other promotional materials.) Contestant agrees to release the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion. Contestant agrees to waive any and all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.

 

Agreement

The UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms or UK’s National Classic Ms entrant agrees to abide by the above rules. If an entrant fails to abide by the above rules and/or brings the UK’s National Miss Pageant into disrepute, a decision will be made at the UK’s National Miss Pageant director’s discretion. The director has the right to terminate the entrant/contestant/winner contract immediately, reclaim the entrant’s sash, crown and prizes.  The director has the right to authorise the deletion of all photos containing the UK’s National Junior Miss, UK’s National Teen, UK’s National Miss, UK’s National Ms or UK’s National Classic Ms sash & crown from all media, including but not limited to, internet, print, facebook, associated to the entrant/contestant/winner.

Contestant agrees to sign a Code of Conduct statement indicating agreement to abide by the terms specified here and also the obligations & terms and conditions of the UK’s National Miss Pageant. Failure to sign these statements does not in any way release contestant from responsibility to abide by the Code of Conduct and terms and conditions of the UK’s National Miss Pageant.

By submitting the entry form and fee(s) for/to the UK’s National Miss Pageant the entrant/contestant/winner agrees to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by the UK’s National Miss Pageant on www.uksnationalmiss.com

Participation in the UK’s National Miss Pageant contest also indicates acceptance and agreement to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by the UK’s National Miss Pageant.  Contestant attests that all information submitted to the organisers of the UK’s National Miss Pageant is true and accurate. Falsification of information and failure to comply with the policies of the UK’s National Miss Pageant may result in immediate disqualification and/or forfeiture of prizes won without benefit of refund in full or in part at the sole discretion of the director of the UK’s National Miss Pageant.
